The Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Development & Promotion Committee is proud to announce the launch of a new 8-unit self-serve kayak station at Veterans Memorial Park, offering a refreshing new way to experience the flowing beauty of the Milwaukee River.
The brand-new kayak rental station is now docked and ready for action. Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or just dipping your paddle in for the first time, this is your chance to chart your course, glide through calm waters, and explore the beauty of Grafton.
This initiative, funded by the Chamber’s Tourism Development & Promotion Committee, marks a major step in enhancing outdoor recreation in Grafton. The committee has entered into a five-year agreement with RentFun to provide and maintain the kayak station, ensuring long-term access to this exciting amenity.
“This has been a key project for me,” Elizabeth Mueller, Executive Director of the Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce explained. “It’s an incredible way for community members and visitors alike to immerse themselves in our natural resources and enjoy the serenity of the river.”
Whether you’re drifting solo or paddling with friends and family, the station offers a seamless way to launch into nature. As you glide north along the river, keep an eye out for birds, frogs, deer, fish, and the lush riverside scenery that makes Grafton such a special place.

Search for Rent.Fun in your app store. Create an account in just 30 seconds. - Unlock Your Equipment
Head to the kayak station and scan the QR code to unlock your kayak or stand-up paddleboard. Paddles and life jackets are included. Carry your kayak to the launch site and off you go. - Enjoy Your Paddle!
Wear your life jacket at all times while on the water and soak in the peaceful rhythm of the river. - Return Your Equipment
When you’re done, return your gear to the station. In the app, tap “Unlock” to return, then select “End Rental” and upload a photo of the equipment.
This self-serve station is open to the public and designed for ease, safety, and fun. It’s a perfect way to connect with nature, get active, and make memories on the water.
